How to offer free gifts with purchase?

This is a step-by-step guide to offer a free gift at checkout, where a complimentary product is automatically added to the customer’s cart when predefined conditions are met.



Exclusive Free Gift Overview


The Exclusive Free Gift Coupon allows you to reward customers with a free product on eligible purchases. This works well for “Free Gift with Purchase” campaigns, product launches, and loyalty-driven offers.


Step 1:

Login to your FlexyPe dashboard and go to Coupons from the left sidebar.



Step 2:

Click on Add Coupon from upper right corner to create coupon.



Step 3:

Click on Exclusive Free Gift.

Step 4: Setup

Define how the free gift is triggered and which product is added.




Options include

  • Application Type
  • Coupon Code – customer enters a code at checkout
  • Automatic Discount – free gift is added automatically when conditions are met
  • Discount Code Example – e.g., FREEGIFT
  • Gift Product Selection
  • Choose specific products or variants to be added as a free gift
  • Gift Quantity
  • Define how many free units are added per order
  • Exclusions
  • Free gift products are excluded from other discount calculations, even if stacking is enabled



Configure Conditions


Step 5: Condition

Set rules that determine when the free gift applies.




Options include

  • No Requirement – free gift applies to all orders
  • Purchase Amount Threshold – apply only when cart value meets defined limits
  • Quantity Threshold – apply based on minimum or maximum cart item count



Set User Eligibility


Step 6: User eligibility

Control who qualifies for the free gift.




Options include

  • Audience Type
  • All users
  • Specific users
  • Order Scope
  • All orders
  • First order only
  • Based on total order history



Define Usage Limits


Step 7: Usage limits

Manage redemption volume and campaign duration.




Options include

  • Global Usage Limit – maximum total redemptions
  • Per-Customer Limit – restrict individual usage
  • Stacking Permissions – allow or block combination with other discounts
  • Active Window – define start and end date/time
  • Disable COD – optionally restrict Cash on Delivery



Step 9:

Click on Submit to apply changes.
