How to suggest products on checkout?

This is a step-by-step guide to suggest products or collections at checkout using the Upsell feature.

Upsell Overview

The Upsell feature allows you to show relevant products or collections during checkout, enabling customers to add more items before placing the order.

Step 1: Open Upsell

Add Upsell Products

Use this option to recommend specific products when a customer adds a product to cart.

Step 2: Add upsell products

Click Add Products from the top-right corner.

You can:

Select one or more products from your catalog
Include or exclude specific variants
Enable or disable upsells using the toggle

Example: Show a “Protein Shaker” when a customer adds “Whey Protein” to the cart.

Add Upsell Collections

Instead of individual products, you can upsell entire collections.

Step 3: Add upsell collections

You can:

Select full collections such as Accessories or New Arrivals
Automatically include all products within the collection
Enable or disable upsells at the collection level

Example: Show “Winter Essentials Collection” when a customer purchases “Thermal Wear”.

Select the products or collections you want to show as add-ons during checkout.

Checkout Display

Once configured, upsell items appear within the checkout flow.

Step 4: Review upsell display

Upsell items appear:

Below the cart summary
With visible price and quick add-to-cart option
Without interrupting the checkout flow

Upsell products are displayed below the cart summary on the checkout page.

Verify Upsell Setup

Step 5: Verify on checkout

Add a product to cart and proceed to checkout to confirm upsell suggestions are visible.

If both products and collections are configured, products with lower prices are shown first.

Step 6: Save changes

Click Save to apply the upsell configuration.
